Is there a data base that has Breast Implant serial numbers and manufactures that can be accessed by using the SS#?

I had breast implants done 14 years ago and now one is leaking/ruptured and I want to have them replaced, but I do not the serial numbers or any other information and the surgeon is no longer in MS and all records were possibly destroyed from Hurricane Katrina. How can I locate the information so that I can file a claim and be reimbursed for the life time warranty?

I'm not sure that the information is available if your doctors records have been Destroyed. Most patients Are given a card with the breast implant information at the time of the procedure. If you know the manufacturer you might call the office and see if they can be of any use.

You do not need the implant information for the revision surgery. It is good to have the information but your surgeon can do the revision without it too. Please try the surgery center. You can try Allergan and Mentor for the information about your implants.
