Hello,The SkinPen can shrink your pores and tighten the skin. It has no evidence of making pores larger. All the best,Dr. Joe
Skin Pen does not enlarge pore size. Quite the opposite! SkinPen can help improve skin tone and texture to make pores appear smaller. Visit us at our Houston location to learn more!
No Skin Pen actually does the opposite! Microneedling is actually my go to treatment to help improve pore size in my practice. I love to pair it with PRP for best results. I also make sure my patients are on a Retin A type (Vit. A) product at night. The needles actually cause a micro injury which stimulates collagen production to the area and creates some skin tightening which gives the pores size a reduced appearance. Results last 4-6 months, so maintanance treatments are required.
Hi, Amytx0603,I have great news for you! SkinPen will actually do the opposite and visibly reduce your pore size. While the needle's diameter may be larger than the pore, SkinPen actually works by creating an abrasion on the skin to promote the body's natural production of collagen and elastin. Both of these fibers actually reduce: pore size, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, and other appearances of aging. This minimally invasive procedure uses the natural processes of the body to create smooth, younger-looking skin.Best wishes,Dr. KathyLee Santangelo
The SkinPen microneedling device will actually improve the appearance of the pores as well as improve skin tone and texture overall.
Ihave a saying that one should 'treat the problem with a solution that is smaller than the problem itself.' To elaborate, in the context of what is the method or solution for a problem, an approach is to choose the BEST device or procedure, and not to make a device fit a problem. On this basis, the ideal/safest/most predictable way to reduce pore- pore sizing is to treat with a small spot laser and or topicals. It depends on the size of the pores and your skin type as to the correct wavelength. I am not against Skin Pen, this device astounds me as the motor is very strong, and the needle surgically sharp.
