How soon after Skinpen can I have an IPL? Or long how after IPL do I have to wait to have a skinpen treatment? Can I do them on the same day or a few days apart?

Answer: Microneedling and IPL in the same session Microneedling creates very fine punctures into the skin in order to create fresh collagen. Because the skin can be irritated and red immediately after I prefer to do the IPL 2 to 3 days later. But in the event a patient is not able to reschedule the laser treatment or needs to have everything done the same day, I suggest you do the IPL first and as long as the skin is not inflamed followed by the microneedling. Good luck.

Answer: IPL and mironeedling - logic and logistics Yes, if parameters and settings conservative on the IPL and microneedling. IPL is not a laser however physics of intense light need to be adhered to. Namely cooling, pulse duration wave length etc.. etc.. additionally skin needling parameters need to be considered. Personally if a patient insist on BOTH treatments on the same day I would IPL first as skin is intact. After IPL skin needle. The question begs- what is your end goal? There maybe other options to address your skin concerns. All the best, Dr Davin S. Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
