Question

18 days PO from liposuction, certified Dr. in the USA. Noticed 1 day PO, @ 1 week PO, Dr. expressed concerns. Sent photo 2 weeks PO & said “thought the spot was from a garment that was too tight”. I wasn’t buying it and went to the ER. Follow up 2nd opinion was concerned with red & treated both. What’s your opinions? Do I have skin necrosis with a side of cellulitis? No burn. None smoker. Healthy. Young.

Dawn. So sorry you’re having these problems!. Your photos photos demonstrate significant complication after liposuction and I truly doubt that your surgeon was a board-certified plastic surgeon. You need to see an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon or a wound care center in your area for immediate treatment. Best of luck

This looks like over  aggressive use of ultrasound and also question whether this was a board ertified plastic surgeon. It appears you are healing but may have scaring at necrosis site. Use plenty of sunscreen on red areas and seek an opinion from another surgeon, board certified in plastic surgery. There are a number of fake boards around so be SURE it is a member of the ASPS.
