I had an abdominal liposuction fat transferred to breasts. I found the compression garment to be very inconvenient (although there's a hole in the vagina area). Is a girdle without the panty part, or a open bust corset/waist cincher good enough? I don't see any reason why my compression garment needs the panty as I did not performed anything below the lower waist.
Answer: Is a waist cincher good enough after abdominal liposuction? Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Pleas follow the advise of ypur plastic surgeon, I recommend my patients to use the compression garment 24/7 for the first 3 months, and after that, for 12 hours a day for 3 more months, to get the best results. Good luck :)

Answer: Post Liposuction Swelling -- Lymphatic Massage, Hyperbaric Oxygen, Radiofrequency (Venus Legacy, Exilis, Vanquish), Cellutone Liposuction requires very specific compression, cinchers arent enough. I suggest you speak to your physician. If you a re unhappy with your results please speak to your physician and ensure he was a full body VASER HD liposuction physciain wtih expensive experience in body shaping and not just traditional fat reduction. At this point you should be. using compression, RF treatments like venus legacy and exilis, and lymphatic massage to get you through healing. It will take 6-12 months to see the final outcome. If you are unhappy you can get a revision procedure by an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Liposuction Recovery You should follow the instructions of your plastic surgeon. Every surgeon has their own postop recovery so you should discuss this with him or her. Compression garments are important after surgery to minimize swelling and making sure the skin lays flat. Good luck

Answer: Is a waist cincher good enough after abdominal liposuction? Waist cinchers or compression garments can be beneficial after abdominal liposuction to support the healing process and help achieve optimal results. However, it's essential to follow your plastic surgeon's specific recommendations regarding postoperative garments and care. Here are some considerations:1. Compression Garments:• Compression garments, including waist cinchers, are designed to provide gentle pressure to the treated area, helping to reduce swelling and support the reshaping of the body. They can promote better adherence of the skin to the underlying tissues and aid in the body's natural healing processes.2. Follow Surgeon's Guidelines:• Always follow your plastic surgeon's specific instructions regarding the type, fit, and duration of wearing compression garments. Surgeons may have different preferences based on the individual characteristics of the patient and the details of the liposuction procedure.3. Proper Fit:• It's crucial that the compression garment fits properly to provide effective support. The garment should be snug but not too tight, allowing for proper circulation. Wearing a garment that is too tight can lead to complications such as restricted blood flow and increased discomfort.4. Gradual Progression:• Your plastic surgeon may recommend wearing the compression garment continuously for a certain period and then gradually reducing its use. This approach allows for the gradual adjustment of the body to its new contours.5. Comfort and Healing:• While compression garments can be beneficial, they should not cause excessive discomfort or pain. If you experience significant discomfort, redness, or any signs of skin irritation, consult your plastic surgeon.6. Hydration and Movement:• Stay well-hydrated and engage in light, recommended activities such as walking to promote circulation and assist in the recovery process.7. Avoid Tight Clothing:• In addition to the compression garment, avoid wearing tight clothing or belts that may put pressure on the treated area, especially during the initial stages of recovery. It's important to note that individual recovery experiences can vary, and the specific recommendations for postoperative care will depend on the plastic surgeon's preferences, the extent of the liposuction procedure, and the patient's unique characteristics. If you have any questions or concerns about the use of a waist cincher or compression garment after abdominal liposuction, reach out to your plastic surgeon. They can provide guidance based on your specific case and ensure that you are following the most appropriate postoperative care plan for the best results.
