Is this skin cancer, specifically nodular melanoma and does it look very advanced? (Photos)

I noticed a mole on my back under my arm with a red ring around it. It is located where my bra strap goes. I think I had a red mole there, but I do not remember, because it is out of my line of sight. It is a little tender. I think I may have pulled on it or twisted it. I only noticed it Monday. Should I go to a dermatologist yesterday or can I wait until after the holidays like January 2nd? I am pretty upset and wondering if I am already doomed.

Shaving a flesh colored mole is usually the best way to treat them since it doesn't scar and looks so good afterwards.  There is a 50% chance it may grow back in a few yrs , so you just shave it flat again at that time. cost is roughly $350-500.
