Different Size Breasts After Explant?

At this point, both breasts should be swollen and if more work was done on the left, it's not uncommon for it to be more swollen.  Just make sure you follow it closely with your doctor.  Remember, it can take up to 3 months for the swelling to go down and for the final results to be apparent.

I would not be very concerned at this point at all.  It is very reasonable to assume that this is swelling.  Evaluate the true results starting around 3 months.

Without photos it is really difficult to offer useful advice. I can say that your surgeon's explanation is quite sensible.

I am sorry to hear about the concerns you have after removal of breast implants. Although one breast may be larger than the other given the additional work done on that side, I would be concerned that your description of it being "far bigger” could be a sign of a complication. Therefore, best to have your plastic surgeon evaluate your situation; only after physical examination can you receive meaningful advice and/or reassurance.

 Again, best to rule out a complication when you are dealing with significant breast asymmetry after surgery.

It may be that you had more dissection and work done on the one side that is larger. Or, you could have had asymmetry before surgery that you forgot about.

Early post operative asymmetry might represent asymmetric swelling or possible a seroma (fluid collection) or hematoma (blood collection) on the larger side.  I think it prudent to contact your surgeon.  I would want to see you if you were under my care.
