How many weeks before sitting????
Answer: You can sit after a butt lift when you're comfortable After a Brazilian Butt Lift, usually you can resume sitting usually within a week or so depending on how your healing is progressing and when you are comfortable doing so. It also depends on what specific procedures you had done as well as how your recovery is going.Obviously the body heals with swelling and inflammation and usually that maxes out at two days and then starts getting better. Most of these patients take no pain medicine (because of the nerve blocks given during surgery) and usually feel very comfortable going out in public the same or next days. I usually call my patients the night of surgery and check on them in person the next day. If everything is fine the next day, I then let them shower and they do not need a dressing over their incisions. At the two week check up, I usually have people start working out and then after six weeks they can do whatever they want. I routinely tell people to take a few days to a week off work and to hide out but some people are very nervous especially celebrities and they might hide out for two weeks. As with any scar on the human body, initially scars are red, hard and raised and it typically takes six months to a year for them to become a soft thin white line. Additionally with recovery, there're many things we do to expedite healing such as nerve blocks during surgery, oral supplements, skin care and scar therapy recommendations, lymphatic massage sessions that are included in our pricing.I strongly feel that it's very important to have an honest conversation with your surgeon about your particular situation, lifestyle, work environment and specifically which procedures you're having done so that you both have the most honest answer about your recovery and are realistic with expectations and results.I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of butt lifts. I hope my answer helps and if it does, please take a moment to up vote this answer on the “respond” button on the top right. Have a great day.

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift You should wait at least 2 weeks before sitting without a support cushion and sleeping on your back. Sitting with no support too soon can harm the newly moved fat cells.

Answer: When is it ok to sit after a BBL? Very good question Noelia. It will depend on your surgeon but in my case I like patients to wait, or at least avoid direct sitting for about 3 - 4 weeks. After that it is always best to try to aviod pressure by sitting on the upper part of your thighs. Patients can use a Booty Buddy or any other post bbl pillow immediately, without a problem. Sitting up straight, with good poster puts most your weight on your thighs. This means you can actually avoid pressure on your BBL by sitting on your thighs more often. This is good idea if you need to sit for long periods of time at work and cannot take your bbl pillow with you. In the end, the more you avoid pressure on your butt the better.Best of luck,Dr. Miguel Mota

Answer: AVOID PUTTING PRESSURE ON YOUR BOTTOM FOR THE FIRST 8 WEEKS AFTER BBL. Hello noeliatorres40,It’s a pleasure to answer your questions! In my experience, patients who successfully avoid sitting or putting pressure on their buttocks or stretching for the first 8 weeks after surgery are much more likely to have long-lasting results than patients who fail to follow this advice. Putting pressure on your buttocks by sitting down or laying on it, especially for long periods of time, can stiffen, deform and even cause the transplanted fat cells to reabsorb. Hope this is helpful! Dr. De La Cruz.
