I had a coolmini done at my double chin and towards the end, about last 20 minutes, i heard air whenever i swallowed my saliva and perhaps the applicator was loosened a few times but it was sucked back in. But at the last 7 minute mark, machine reads thermal event detected and therapist stopped the machine and said not to worry as the effects have taken place. Can i trust her?

Answer: Thermal Event We have also experienced Thermal events during the five and one half years we have been performing Coolsculpting. It actually is the machines way to protect you from injury. We have found that if it happens at the 10 minute mark or less the result is not effected. However we do note the file and at the three month follow up if we see that the results do not come up to expectation we provide a free treatment of that area. I would suggest that you contact the office and make sure someone noted the event in your file.

Answer: Time on Machine Matters It sounds like you may have had a few gaps with your procedure (the air leaks). The chin can be a tough area to treat. The wrapping around the applicator becomes very critical because of this. You will get results from the treatment you received. You may not get the complete results because of the thermal event, but that difference is likely to be imperceptible.
