Question

Wanting something effective, just wondering how many treatments coolsculpting would require and if it's a better option than lipodissolve. Also which is more cost effective.

Hello,Thank you for your question and picture. Based on what can be seen it appears that CoolSculpting would be a great option for you. You may want to start with two applicators in a criss cross application for your first treatment, then you can evaluate after 3-4 months and determine if you need more. We offer the CoolMini as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction for the right candidate.  For optimal results, 2 treatments are generally required. The treatments are separated by 4-6 weeks. Treatments are planned using templates of the CoolMini applicator. For fat localized to the sub mental chin, a single applicator per session may be required.  If there is significant fat more laterally in the neck, 2 or 3 overlapping applicators may be required to produce the optimal result.  We also offer Kybella and often use the two to develop customized a non-invasive alternative to surgical options.I would visit with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area who offers all these options to discuss what is best for you.

I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates but Coolsculpting can be used as an alternative with or without thermage/ultherapy/exilis or Kybella. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Coolsculpting Mini would work for you. One treatment would remove around 35 percent of fat. You would require number of treatments. The end results become visible 8 weeks after last treatment. Every treatment needs to be spaced out 4 to 6 weeks. You may want to look into Kybella since it yields results faster than Coolsculpting and it is quite successful in removing submental fat.
