Is it normal to still have redness 3 months after lateral canthoplasty? (Photo)

Question

I did double eyelid surgery and Lateral Canthoplasty on the 30 march 2017 , it been few months already but I still see obvious redness on my outer corner , may I know whether it is normal ? And it take how long for the healing process ? Do I need to apply any cream or any injection or medication to let it heal faster ? I have been very stressed about it.

It looks like you had eyelid lengthening procedure, not canthoplasty. The redness could be permanent since the redness relates to inside the lower eyelid exposure. Discuss with your surgeon. Skype consult available.

Temporary redness around the eyes after an eyelid surgery is normal, but it usually subsides within a week or two. If you experience prolonged redness after your procedure, you should bring it to theattention of a board certified facial plastic surgeon. A proper examination is necessary to determine the cause of the discoloration, as well as the possible treatments.
