I suggest you see an expert to determine what type of hair loss you have. Even for alopecia areata at least 3-6 steroid treatments are needed.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Does propecia shedding stop? Will the hair shed during initial stages of treatment grow back?

In my opinion, if Propecia shedding lasts more than 6 months you should be evaluated by a hair expert. Shedding is caused by the hair shaft being replaced by a new,  stronger hair. This is usually completed within 6 months. You should be examined by a hair expert. They will perform a good ...

My suggestion is to see a hair loss expert.  You can do hair transplantation or non invasive options like PRP/progesterone.  Best, Dr. Emer.
