1 year since removing mucocele and lips are still bumpy. What can I do to correct this? (photo)

I first have my mucocele removal on 6 September 2020, had another surgery on 29 June 2022 as my doctor told me I have excessive salivary gland. As of now my lips is still "bumpy". Is there any procedure to do to make it normal? This is affecting my self esteem greatly...

Hello, hope you are well. It appears that you have exuberant scar tissue formation or recurrence of the mucocele. Based on the yellow coloration, I am suspicious for a recurrence. In any case, a careful excision of the excessive tissue (scar revision vs excision of recurrent mucocele) can restore symmetry. It is hard to say what to expect exactly from this photo alone, but an in-person consultation would be helpful in clarifying, and the procedure could be done the same day.

If the bumps are caused by scar tissue from the surgeries, a scar revision procedure might be considered. This involves surgically modifying the scar tissue to improve its appearance.
