On a low dose of Accutane. How long do I need to wait before undergoing hairline advancement surgery?

Hi, I've been on 10 to 20mg of accutane daily for the past 3 months and this month would be my final month on accutane. Based on my research it seems that doctors generally recommend that surgeries are performed 6 months after completing a cycle of accutane. However, given that I've been on a relatively low dose of accutane, could I wait for a shorter duration (e.g. 3 to 4 months) before undergoing surgery? Also, is there anything I could do to get accutane out of my system faster?

While there’s variability in recommendations, many healthcare professionals advise waiting at least six months after completing a course of Accutane before undergoing elective surgeries. This waiting period allows the drug to clear from the body, minimizing potential adverse effects on wound healing.

The duration of treatment and the dose can influence the time it takes for Accutane to leave your system. Since you’ve been on a relatively low dose, it’s possible that the drug might clear from your system faster compared to higher doses. However, individual factors like metabolism can also play a role.
