I don’t recommend people gain weight. Without including pictures, we can’t assess your candidacy for the procedure. Delivering consistent quality results from both Liposuction and fat transfer is more difficult than most people realize. The number of providers who’ve truly mastered. Both of these procedures are in a small minority. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of provider selection, and to do this they have a multiple in person consultations. An experienced plastic surgeon. It should have no difficulty showing you the before, and after pictures of at least 15 previous patients. Being shot a handful of pre-selected images, representing the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider. On top of this you need to absolutely confirm the timeframe of when after pictures were taken because early fat transfer pictures can look very impressive but do not represent final pictures. It takes six months for after pictures to represent long-term results. Hopefully you’ve at least had an in person consultation with the person scheduled to do your procedure. Preferably if you’ve had multiple in person consultations to help select the best provider for your needs. Poorly done Liposuction can leave people permanently disfigured, and those who have insufficient skills and experience will have, poor quality outcomes when it comes to fat transfer. The number of providers who are truly excellent at this are few. Fat transfer can increase breast size by approximately 1/2 cup. This is a typical outcome when done by somebody who knows what they’re doing. The procedure does not change breast shape in any significant way. No one should gain weight for the purpose of having a fat, transfer procedures, and few people look and feel better after gaining weight. If you have questions, I suggest forwarding them to your provider. If you don’t have a provider, I suggest scheduling multiple in person consultations before scheduling surgery. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patient who had very similar body and breast characteristics to your own. Good luck, Mats Hagstrom MD
