I have a long haul flight ( MCR-JFK) booked 17 days after my surgery for a 5 night trip to NYC. Will I be able to fly this soon after my surgery? Is this safe? Also will I be healed and recovered enough to be walking around a city? I am having fat transfer to both breasts and a lift on one breast.
Answer: Recovery Lifestyle Please check with your surgeon for specific instructions but I would think you’ll be fine to travel almost 3 weeks after your procedure. You’ll still be healing and sometimes a lift may be associated with wounds. These type of things are usually easily managed even traveling. We always recommend at least a few sessions of hyperbaric oxygen therapy right after the surgery. This may help speed up and maximize the healing.

Answer: Breast augmentation fat transfer & uplift Dear Beautiful463152, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Breast Fat Transfer - Travel That should be ok. The surgery you are having is not one that limits the ability to walk around. The pain level is usually pretty reasonable and you will be over 2 weeks after the procedure. What to watch out for is blood clots in your legs from not walking around. During your long flight, consider wearing compression stockings and make sure to get up and walk around to prevent issues. Best Wishes!!
