Possible to achieve more fullness at the top through this procedure?

Without seeing your breasts, I can can only go over what may be options, not what is an option for you. One way to fill the breasts and give more volume or upper pole fullness is fat transfer. We use the liposuctioned fat from another area such as the abdomen, flanks, or back and spin it down to usable condensed fat that would be transferred to breast. I usually recommend patients have at least 10 pounds of extra fat to be liposuctioned for a fat transfer of any type. Some patients need more or less, it depends on their body composition. With that being said, the scarring is minimal, just a few tiny poke holes where the fat is harvested and a few holes in breast so fat can be transferred inside. It's difficult to achieve upper pole fullness with breast fat transfer. Fat requires blood supply and vascular tissue to survive. There is a paucity of tissue in the upper pole so it takes much better if placed in the breast itself. Achieve upper pole fullness is more reliable with a full profile implant.

This is a great question. Traditionally, the best and most effective way to achieve more fullness at the top of your breasts is with a silicone or saline implant. Nowadays, fat transfer to the breasts can be a good option. It is a particularly good option for patients who desire an improvement of shape. While fat transfer can also augment the size also, it is not as effective as a breast implant to add volume. If larger amounts of volume with a fat transfer is wanted, it is necessary to perform multiple surgeries of fat transfer in order to achieve the size desired.
A lift can be done at the same time if needed. The scarring for a lift depends on several factors like skin quality and the degree the breast has dropped. Although a breast lift can initially improve the contour and size upper part of the breast, only implants and/or fat can give lasting fullness at the top. Hope this helps!

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is possible to get fat transfer to improve shape of breast and get more upper fullness. Fat transfers can improve fullness on top but the best procedure is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.

Hi, this is a very common question I see as an aesthetic breast surgeon. Improving breast contour and shape can be done with many different techniques depending on what your breasts look like before surgery and what you are hoping to achieve after. Often times patients who like the size of their breasts but don't like the shape, usually as a result of decent with age, a lift can be performed to restore a youthful nipple height. Now, lifts come in many different shapes and sized all with different scar patterns. For my patients who are hoping to lift their breasts but desire more superior fullness than in a standard breast lift I generally offer 2 procedures. 1 is an auto-augmentation breast lift with internal mesh support and the other is a breast lift with fat grafting of the superior pole or cleavage area. Both are great options depending on the specific patient. If your nipples are at a good height and you are just lacking superior fullness, you may be a candidate for fat grafting alone to the superior pole.

You did not post photos, but I suspect you need a lift. Fat is placed inside actual breast tissue. If you have little upper breast tissue, then only a little fat can be added. Fat will not lift and tightened your breasts.

Breast fat transfer can increase breast size by about 1/2 cup on most patients when done correctly. The procedure does not to change the shape of the breast in any significant weight so it’ll not achieve what you were hoping for. The best procedure to increase volume in the upper half of the breast is implant augmentation. Fat transfer leaves your breast, looking more or less, the same just slightly larger.
Fat transfer is not a good procedure for women seeking to change the shape of their breast, especially if they don’t want their breast to be bigger.
