Can exercise metabolize my facial fillers faster?

Question

I have nose and chin fillers had them for 2 years now without a break I’ve been exercising very hard lately but I’m scared it’ll make them fade , help?

Thank you for your question. It is possible that exercise can metabolize fillers faster, but it's not something that I think you need to be concerned about. You can continue with your regular fitness routine.

Patients typically avoid exercise for the first day or so after facial filler injections (ex. Juvederm, Restylane) and Botox to help limit bruising and swelling. Exercise generally has not been known to by a major factor for the duration of injectable fillers. However, some patients who are very active may metabolize or break-down the filler faster. Many factors influence the duration of dermal fillers, including product choice, location of placement, and patient lifestyles.  Areas around the mouth are more mobile, and do tend to wear off faster than areas that are less mobile, such as the cheeks.  If patients are high metabolizers by nature or very active, the products may have as long of a duration.  While we can give patients general ideas in regards to product duration, there are many factors that influence this and duration typically varies somewhat between patients.
