I had filler placed under my eyes two months ago and I now have a little ledge and it also appears purple in pictures. Is this Tyndall effect? And if so what’s the next step. I’m afraid of dissolving it from all the nightmare stories.

Answer: Under eye filler Sorry to hear you aren't happy with your injections. In general, the tear trough is one of my favorite places to inject for patients. It is hard to tell from your photos, but the issue may be an incomplete correction on the left side or migration of the product. This can be solved by either some additional filler or dissolving the product with hyaluronidase. The skin is so thin in this area and any filler placed too superficially may be visible. I suggest following up with your physician or seeing a board certified plastic surgeon for a second opinion. Best of luck!

Answer: Filler and Under Eye and Ledge with Restylane and Belotero I do under eye fillers every day in my office. It is important to have both the correct filler and placement. What you are describing is probably the Tyndall effect and placement. I would recommend that you have Hyaluronidase to dissolve it and consult an expert in under eye fillers to have the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
