Silimed Conical Implants - Will They Make my Breasts Pointed?

The problem with Implants is that the Shape on the table is not always the shape inside your body. We have learned this with anatomical shaped implants.

Since Silimed is not FDA-approved in the U.S., none of us over here have any experience with this conical shape.  

But, off the top of my head, I'd prefer a more rounded shape to the 1950's cone-bra effect!  I'm not sure this shape will catch on over here, even if it were available....

Probably no difference in shape.Years ago tear drop implants were popular.A surgeon did follow up ammo's or MRI after 6 months and the tear drop became round so I would think in the end the conical will be round.

If your question is whether anyone has had experience with these implants, I would venture a guess that most if not all U.S. trained and based plastic surgeons have not.

But I did review the link and I find it hard to believe that this is the only shape for the volume you want. Implants, whether round, anatomic, saline, or silicone come in a broad range of volumes. My advice is to ask your plastic surgeon how much experience he/she has with these implants and to look at some of the before/afters of patients with those specific implants.

Conical implants, really? This challenges the goal of a natural augmentation. Sounds more like the look of the 1950's where the goal of a bra was to 'lift and separate' the breasts and the pointed breast (or bra) was in. I doubt this new implant trend will catch on and you may end up with the look of regret. And your surgeon suggests you choose the implant size, based on what experience? Red flags here, better get some other opinions.

Implants do not give the breast a shape, they just take what you have and project it. They act as fillers. Sometimes though, if the person has no shape, they may, if radically shaped like the conical one you mention, "take over" the shape of your breasts,especially if a larger sized implant. These always come in textured and unfortunately, they sometimes rotate and are misplaced. My recommendation is to stick with a smooth implant to avoid problems.
