Thank you for your question, kelseymaebrown!Unfortunately, it is best to wait until those ulcers have fully healed. Any injection can aggravate that area and worsen the ulcers or create more. Once clear, make sure to make your injector aware that you suffer from these now and again, sometimes they will prescribe something for you to take prior to injection to prevent an outbreak.
Thanks for your question! I getting lip fillers can be very exciting and most patients look forward to their appointments but it's better to err on the side of caution. Wait until you are ulcer free and then get the filler. We wish you the best!
With filler, it's always better to be safe than sorry. If you were a patient in our practice, we would require you to be lesion and ulcer-free prior to injecting the area. I know it's not probably the answer you want to hear, but it's truly the best outcome for your safety and to prevent an uncomfortable infection!Lindsay Van Meter, RN, BSN, CANSCertified Nurse Injector for Dr. Mark Mason
Thank you for your question. It is recommended to have any peri-oral lesions, ulcers, or fever blisters resolved or healed prior to having any filler placed in the mouth area. Best of luck to you!
Typically it is best to allow your ulcers to heal and clear before getting your lip fillers done. If you have any further questions or concerns don't hesitate to talk to your nurse injector or medical aesthetician prior to your appointment.
Thank you for your question.I would wait until the ulcers resolve before getting injections done. You do not want to get an infections after the fillers. If the skin is compromised, this puts you at an increased risk.
I you have ulcers in your lips, it is most likely due to herpes simplex virus. You should not do the fillers as it could cause spread of the virus with more ulcers occurring in the lips.
If you have what sounds like a herpes breakout I would wait until it fully heals before doing any lip injections. Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures.
Hello and thank you for your question. In my practice I would insist you are leasing or ulcer free before I do any procedures. I don’t want any issues or infections to occur as a result of having an ulcer. Best wishes.Dr. T
It would be best to wait until any infections or ulcers to heal prior to having any filler placed. Having an infection or ulcer does put you at a greater risk of developing additional infections in the area.
Thank you for your question. Voluma would be a more appropriate filler for the cheeks. Juvederm XC is too thin and is more appropriate for filling lines. Voluma is a thicker product and is great for adding volume and to lift the cheeks.
Thank you for your question!A downturned smile or permanent frown can be improved with a combination approach, including neuromodulators (such as Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau), injectable fillers, and radiofrequency skin tightening treatments such as Thermage or Venus Legacy. I would also suggest...
Hi, thanks for your question. No, activated charcoal should not have any effect on Juvederm. If you have any further questions or concerns about Juvederm filler, I recommend that you talk to your provider. Also, always best to disclose any medications you may currently be taking to your provider.
Thank you for your question, deedee102! It is suggested to wait at least 2 weeks after having any kind of dental work done before getting injectable fillers done. Getting your wisdom teeth removed is quite a big procedure and can sometimes take a little longer to heal. I would wait until you a...
