I am having lip fillers on Saturday morning, but I have 2 ulcers on the inside of my bottom lip. Not on my lip, just under my lip in my mouth.
Answer: Ulcers and lip injections Thank you for your question, kelseymaebrown!Unfortunately, it is best to wait until those ulcers have fully healed. Any injection can aggravate that area and worsen the ulcers or create more. Once clear, make sure to make your injector aware that you suffer from these now and again, sometimes they will prescribe something for you to take prior to injection to prevent an outbreak.

Answer: Fillers and mouth ulcers? Thanks for your question! I getting lip fillers can be very exciting and most patients look forward to their appointments but it's better to err on the side of caution. Wait until you are ulcer free and then get the filler. We wish you the best!

Answer: Wait. With filler, it's always better to be safe than sorry. If you were a patient in our practice, we would require you to be lesion and ulcer-free prior to injecting the area. I know it's not probably the answer you want to hear, but it's truly the best outcome for your safety and to prevent an uncomfortable infection!Lindsay Van Meter, RN, BSN, CANSCertified Nurse Injector for Dr. Mark Mason

Answer: Having lips injected with ulcers present Thank you for your question. It is recommended to have any peri-oral lesions, ulcers, or fever blisters resolved or healed prior to having any filler placed in the mouth area. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Lip fillers and ulcers Typically it is best to allow your ulcers to heal and clear before getting your lip fillers done. If you have any further questions or concerns don't hesitate to talk to your nurse injector or medical aesthetician prior to your appointment.
