Why are my breasts so hard and the implants don't move? Will they ever get softer and start moving? 9 months post op. (photos)

Thank you for your question.  Anatomic implants are all firmer than standard gel implants.  They are also textured to maintain position and prevent rotation.  Because of this, an anatomic implant in a softer, smaller breast may feel quite firm and immobile.  When you raise your arms, it pulls the breast tissue up off of the implant and makes them even more noticeable.  These implants do tend to soften a bit over the first 18 months, however, so you may notice them less over time.

Best to see your PS for an examination. It is impossible to comment on whether the implants havee the predictable feel or whether you have developed capsular contracture. Your scars look good and although there are some difference esp the areola shape overall the operation seems to have been carried out in an approriate manner. 

Thanks for your question.Based on the photos it is hard to make specific comments about your concerns.  It is recommended that you follow up with a board certified plastic surgeon to examine you and identify your areas of concern.  It is possible that the lower portion of your breast is thinner after your prior reduction and lift.  Several options exist to improve your concerns, but again I recommend an in person evaluation.Best wishes

Your breasts may get softer, however, anatomical implants are made to stay in place and not move. If the implant was to move or shift the actual shape of your breast would be altered. Follow up with your surgeon regarding your concerns and maybe he/she can offer some options for you.
