Answer: Am I "botched?" What can be done to improve my results after breast lift and breast implants? You are NOT "botched." I personally am quite frustrated by the prevalence of this term now in the plastic surgery industry, as popularized by a reality TV show, as it is leading some patients with normal postoperative results who are unhappy to think something "wrong" was done. Your photos (I am not seeing preop photos so I can't comment on how much correction was done with regard to the efficacy of your lift) seem to show loose skin and bottoming out. This is not unusual but one of the methods to try to minimize it is to not be afraid of the horizontal scar in the crease, which is part of a standard "anchor" or "Wise" pattern breast lift. Sometimes the loose skin in the lower breast needs to be more aggressively removed in order to shorten the distance between nipple and fold, with the nipple properly positioned with respect to other landmarks. If the weight of the implant and breast tissue pull down the breast due to loose skin, removal of excess skin and repositioning is often required. I recommend reviewing this with your surgeon and discussing options. If you are interested in second opinions, there are many surgeons here answering your question who can assess you in the office in consultation.

Answer: You aren't "botched" Clearly your tissues lack elastic tone and because of that, there are serious limitations on the kind of result you can get. Since your surgeon did a good job, discuss calmly with them what might be done in the future.
