It is very common to experience bruising and mild tenderness after Restylane. For patients who tend to bruise easily, I recommend Arnica tablets and avoiding blood thinners, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, Vitamin E and alcohol (the day before as well as the day you have fillers). The bruising can last a week and may be covered with make-up. If you continue to have pain or any increase in pain, I recommend you follow-up with your doctor.
Thanks for your question. Swelling and bruising can occur with injections of any product in the area. Most bruising and swelling improves without issues. An intravascular injection (in the vessel) could lead to more problems. It is difficult to tell what is going on with your photo. I recommend that you contact your injector and be seen by a physician that is knowledgable about injections very soon. Best of luck.
It is difficult to say whether this is normal or not because the photo is not too clear. The one thing to worry most about is an intra-arterial injection which can cause sloth and severe pain. If concerned, contact your surgeon.
If it is simply bruising, that's ok. If it is vascular occlusion, it's not. I can't tell. Please see your doc and read the link that describes vascular occlusion.
