Which should be done first - nose or lip lift?

Both opinions are valid, however in general rhinoplasty is the more complex operation. There are many variables when performing a rhinoplasty and limiting the variables that could compromise your result is of the utmost importance. Having a lip lift will place a fair amount of scar tissue immediately deep to the nasal ala which may limit surgical maneuvers that can be performed by your rhinoplasty surgeon.

There is a place for lip lifts, but I don't like them on younger faces (younger than 75!) unless there's really something unusual going on. The scar usually can be seen, and as you've explored, the scar can pull down on the nose, making the nostrils look unnatural. I haven't seen your photos yet, but given that, my advice would be to have the rhinoplasty (with an expert, so you get the best results), and *then* decide whether you really *need* the lip lift!
Remember that rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. Most noses require advanced techniques, and skill that most plastic surgeons don't possess with expertise. I suggest not doing the lip lift at all. It often doesn’t do what you think it will. The lip will pull down the nostrils and make them look more open.

Hello, i highly recommend doing rhino first and liplift later, and doing this for my patients who wants these procedures seperately. Because the labiocolumellar angle may change with rhino and it may effect the nose-lip distance and its better to do the liplift according to the new dimentions. On the other hand liplift does not make your nose wider unless it is desired so, and could be done under local anesthesia.

In our practice, we definitely do not recommend a lip lift procedure due to very extensive poor scarring that occurs with that procedure. A full set of facial photographs are required to make a determination about how best to proceed with your rhinoplasty procedure.
