Post Rhinoplasty with ENT discharge gathers in both sides of the nose - will I need revision? (photos)

Hello, doctors. I was wondering if you could advise me if this is normal and if revision is needed. I had a piezo rhinoplasty a year ago and ever since the surgery whenever I have a cold, the discharge gathers in both sides of the nose, inside on the facets area, and then runs from there. Is this normal? I didn't have it before the surgery. Will I need revision?

Just how the mucous flows in the nose is hard to control. The body "tries" to move it back, so you swallow it. Unless there's something very unusual and obvious in peeking inside your nose, it's hard to say that a revision could help this problem. A revision is best done to change the size and shape (the appearance) of the nose. For example, on your nose, perhaps bringing the tip back closer to the face and elevating the tip more might be something to consider. But appearance changes also come with no guarantee or suggestion that they will correct the mucous problem. If it *does* get corrected in a revision, there's probably some luck involved!
Remember that rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. Any revision requires advanced techniques and skill that most plastic surgeons don't possess with expertise.
