Ultherapy or Thermage for neck with an ACDF (titanium screws and plates on cervical spine)?

After my ACDF at C6-C7 the skin on my neck because incredibly lax. I'd like to get a Ultherapy or Thermage -- but wonder if either are contraindicated with there being titanium on my cervical spine.

Ultherapy is safe after ACDF because the depth of penetration of the ultrasound energy is only to the level of the skin and fascia.  There are deep neck muscles which cushion the spine.  Even in a thin neck, the ultrasound energy does not reach the spine and associated hardware.

Ultherapy is safe with your titanium screws and plates.  One of the biggest advantages of Ulthera is you are able to visualize the treatment area and ensure the depth to which the energy is penetrating.  The deepest Ulthera transducer penetrates to 4.5 mm which would not be deep enough to have any effect on the titanium in your neck.  I would recommend a consultation with an experienced provider who can do a thorough consultation to ensure you are a good candidate and further address your concerns regarding your ACDF procedure.

Hello. The ultrasound waves are focused no deeper than 4.5 mm, so the energy will not interfere with your  orthopedic hardware.
