This was done two days ago. I start a new job in five days and am looking for the best way to promote healing. Right now I have antibiotic ointment on it, but it's somewhat itchy and when I leave the house, I would prefer to cover the wound. I have read that hydrocolloid bandages can be a good option. If I do use one, how will I know when to change it? There's a decent amount of exudate since no scab has formed, but I could probably leave the bandage on for a couple of days.
