You have nearly reached your final result. Some people may need few more months in order to see it. Your hair normally might be at the same thickness as the donor area. Did your donor area have thick hair? If you are not happy with the hair density you probably might consider of a second hair transplantation stage. I would advise you to wait for another two or three months and then decide what you desire to do.
The hair is growing up to 12-18 month, you should wait few months more to see the final result.
Generally hair startsto grow within 2-3 months after a hair transplant and restore its thicknesswithin 6-12 months. The density dependson the thickness of your donor hair prior to the hair transplantation. If youdesire more fullness after 12 months, consider doing a follow up hairtransplantation procedure. You shouldalso consult your transplant physician about the possible need to use FDAapproved hair loss medications such as topical minoxidil and finastride. It can take 6 to 12 months to see the results after a hair transplant surgery. However everyone is different and if you think your results are not progressing it is always a good idea to follow up with your doctor.
After transplantation, the transplanted hairs often shed at a month, then begin to regrow a new hair at 3 months. That process gains speed though months 6 an 9, so you're still in the midst of regrowth. Don't pass judgement on your surgery until you are a year out. If you have concerns, certainly go back to your hair transplant surgeon and be re-evaluated. Good luck!
Transplanted hair starts growing in about 2-3 months after a hair transplant and by month 6 all grafts have grown hair in most people. The final results could be seen in about 6-10 months when your hair is longer and the newly transplanted hairs are thicker. At that point you can see full results. Based on your hair characteristics and styling you may see full results at 10-12 months after your procedure. Occasionally patients may have delayed growth at 6 months follow up but most those patients show full results by month 12.
At 7 months, most people see most of the hair growing to a length of about 1 inch. Wait another 2-3 months and if you don't see what you expect, return to your doctor and ask your doctor if he/she thinks that all of the hairs have grown.
Regular hair will grow around transplanted hair. One may experience shock loss (temporary hair loss) in the first few weeks. This occurs as part of the healing process and reaction to the trauma that the scalp underwent. One should typically recover from Shock Loss within 3- 6 months of onset....
Hair transplant surgery does not directly effect cancer or heart attack risks. There are no vaccines involved in hair transplant surgery.
The answer to this is yes and now. IF you are young (under 26) and male and have a hair transplant without taking the drug finasteride, you might develop shock loss which will accelerate the hairs that are miniaturized and in the process of being lost. Minoxidil does not impact normal hair.
The donor hair will only grow at the recipient site. If you do the procedure with the modern technology, then there is no residual scar or evidence of donor extraction which is the beauty of the new technology. There's no incision, no scar, and no pain! Best of luck,
Hair transplant will not pull on your facial skin. The back of your scalp may feel tight for several weeks but it will not impact your face. You do NOT get a face lift or a neck lift with hair transplant surgery.
Without seeing your scalp up close, it's not possible to tell if any permanent injury occurred. In general, one must be extremely careful for the first 7 days after a hair transplants, and slightly cautious for the next 5 too. Ask your surgeon or his designate for advice on how best to proceed.
