My hair is growing well, but still a bit sparsely populated at the 7 month mark. When will it begin to thicken up?
Answer: Did your donor area have thick hair? You have nearly reached your final result. Some people may need few more months in order to see it. Your hair normally might be at the same thickness as the donor area. Did your donor area have thick hair? If you are not happy with the hair density you probably might consider of a second hair transplantation stage. I would advise you to wait for another two or three months and then decide what you desire to do.

Answer: Your hair is on the right track Generally hair starts to grow within 2-3 months after a hair transplant and restore its thickness within 6-12 months. The density depends on the thickness of your donor hair prior to the hair transplantation. If you desire more fullness after 12 months, consider doing a follow up hair transplantation procedure. You should also consult your transplant physician about the possible need to use FDA approved hair loss medications such as topical minoxidil and finastride. Answer: It can take up to a year After transplantation, the transplanted hairs often shed at a month, then begin to regrow a new hair at 3 months. That process gains speed though months 6 an 9, so you're still in the midst of regrowth. Don't pass judgement on your surgery until you are a year out. If you have concerns, certainly go back to your hair transplant surgeon and be re-evaluated. Good luck!
