Droopy eye due to orbital floor fracture? (Photo)

Hello my name is Daniel. I recently had a surgery in my eye due to a floor fracture. My eye has since healed but the eye now looks droopy . I need some advice of what type of surgery would be needed. As far as upper or lower eyelid. Thank you

Based on the photo, I am assuming that the left eye was the traumatized eye? When was the surgery?The most likely issue here is that there is residual enophthalmos (sunken eye) on the left side. This maybe due to an enlarged eye socket bony that was not fully repaired with the surgery, or it could be due to atrophy (shrinkage) of the eye socket fat that sometimes occurs with trauma. This condition can be repaired. Measurements can be made clinically by an Oculoplastics surgeon that can help tease out the problem here.

Repairing the orbit fracture causes significant orbit swelling.  This will affect the eyelids. It is essential to give this time to heal.  When the dust settles, you may nor may not feel that you need to have the eyelids fixed.

It takes at least 1 year for any severe facial trauma, or surgery after facial trauma, to heal fully. Its nice to hear you have healed well from your orbital surgery. Any orbital floor fracture can result in a sunken in appearance to the injured eye in addition to troubles with "droopy" eyelids.  This is a very challenging condition and it could be discussed in depth with a board-certified, fellowship-trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon with expertise in orbital trauma in addition to cosmetic surgery.  No matter what, you need more time to heal. Best wishes.
