Would I be a candidate for blepharoplasty? I feel like I have droopy eyelids. (Photos)

Question

One which hangs lower then the other and makes it difficult when wearing eyeliner and such. I would like my eyelids to be tighter and reveal more upper lid. Also I would like my eyes to appear larger. Would I be a good candidate for blepharoplasty or would a brow lift help ? Some input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much.

You have bilateral upper eyelid ptosis.  The left upper eyelid is slightly worse than the right side.  There is a mild compensatory eyebrow elevation. Surgery is needed to perform an anchor blepharoplasty that makes a new hard crease, support the skin of the upper eyelid platform and the upper eyelid lashes.  This approach allows for anterior levator ptosis surgery to correct the eyelid position.  This will generally be associated with a relaxation of the tension at your eyebrow which will make your eyes more jewel like.

Dear Mooky1985Thank you for your questions and photos!  It is hard to assess what contour change is needed from your photos.  It may be reasonable to start with BOTOX to raise your eyebrows and allow the upper lids to sit higher - this will help in assessing the procedure to attain the results you are looking for .With Warm RegardsTrevor M Born MD

You may have a small amount of ptosis, and excess skin. In addition to surgical options, micropigmentation of eyeliner would enhance your eyes so that they appear larger. You may want to start with an oculoplastics evaluation for ptosis measurements. Best wishes.
