How much does a chin implant and neck lift/platysma-plasty usually cost? Can it be done under local anesthetic?

Chin implants can increase the size and projection of a chin that does not project in proportion with the forehead, nose and mid-face. A small or recessed chin can also be described as one that seems to disappear into the neck of an individual of normal weight, rather than appearing as a distinct facial feature. A weak chin can also make your nose appear more prominent, an overbite appear more pronounced, a double chin appear worse, or your neck less youthful. I have been able to improve facial balance and harmony through placement of a chin implant. To be able to give you a true answer, I would need to see a complete set of photos. But If you have a recessed chin, an extended anterior chin implant will correct the situation. Also with younger patients liposuction of the neck  under the jawline will create improved facial neck definition. These procedures are very successful and provide very natural results. It would be EXTREMELY RARE for a 25 year old to need a neck lift.

A chin implant is performed when there is a recessive chin present to augment the projection of the mandible. chin implants are manufactured in a variety of sizes and shapes which is best determined at the time of the consultation and examination.   A neck lift is performed not for excess skin, but for excess fatty deposits located above and below the platysma muscle in the neck. These fatty deposits are known as sub-platysmal fat and sub-mental fat. A weak chin frequently causes the neck to look full and sagging. It is VERY rare that a 25 year old needs a neck lift but frequently liposuction is done in conjunction with chin augmentation. Having said that I need to see pictures.
