Can a buttock implant open wound heal on its own?

Can a small hole/open wound on buttock incision heal on its own? Or does it require re stitching? How long till it heals?

Thank you for sharing. An open wound at this stage of recovery needs is not normal and needs the attention of your surgeon immediately.  If the correct size implant is chosen, your wound should start to heal one week after your procedure. If the implant is too large it can prevent the incision from healing and invite infection.  Choosing the right size implant is crucial to ensure the overall success of your procedure. Be sure to choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that specializes in this procedure and is well known for it

Yes it does but it depends of the size of the wound. However if your implant is exposed it could be necessary to extract it. I can not give you an objective opinion without a proper evaluation, I suggest you to schedule an appointment with your surgeon an let him know all your concerns.
