I am aware that breast reductions take skin and fat from below the breast, this has me concerned about my stretch marks... They are above my breasts, lining the top of them, will this be the skin that my "new" breasts are constructed of? is there a way to get rid of this skin with the surgery?

Answer: Stretch marks on breasts Thank you for question and picture. Unfortunately, the skin of your upper pole will not be excised so those stretch marks will stay as they are. Breast reductions remove excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size in proportion with your body but that upper skin stays. However, I did notice the stretch marks on the lateral aspect of your breast that are lower on your breast. Some of that skin may be excised depending on how much tissue your surgeon will excise and how small you want to be. Most women are very satisfied after breast reduction surgery because their back/neck pain is relieved. You should see your plastic surgeon and you can make a plan together to achieve your goals.
