I am 5'5 130 pounds and a 34A. My doctor recommended 500cc and high profile because the chest muscle will squish the implant down to a 400cc, which is the sizer I was trying on was about 350-400cc. I also have a narrow chest and she recommended high profile. I told her I did not want anything too huge for my body frame, maybe a full natural C cup, and 500cc seems like so much! Does the chest muscle really squish it down that much? Now I am undecided if I should go smaller or not….
Answer: That depends...! 'Too big' can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Do you mean too big for your chest? Do you mean too big for your height? Do you mean too big for society as a whole? If you want a full 'C' cup and you are 5'5 and 130 pounds then I think that 500cc will give you a larger bust than that. However, cup size is unimportant. It is how you look that matters and if you go to five different stores you'll get measured with 5 different bust sizes anyway.Do you like how you look with the sizers in place? If so, then it's likely you will like it with the implants in place as long as your breast tissues can support an implant of that size.Ask your plastic surgeon if they perform 3D 'previews' of their augmentations as this can give an added idea (although no guarantee) of how things might look with the implants in placeGood luck!

Answer: Recommendations For Implant Choice It is very difficult to determine the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal breast image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your breast will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. To illustrate; a 100 cc difference may make a significant difference with a narrow base width breast, but much less of a difference if you have a wide chest wall and wide breast “foot print”. Therefore, just because your friend may have a great result with let’s say a 350 cc implant to make her go from a “A” cup to a “C” cup size does not mean that you will have the same result with the same size implant. . Further simply placing implants in a bra to determine the size best for you is not always accurate as the bra often distorts the size, is dependent on the pressure the bra places plus the implant is outside your breast and not under it among other variables. Computer software morphing programs that automatically determine the best implant size can be helpful in some but not all cases (e.g. doesn’t work well in my experience with existing implants, sagging or asymmetric breasts). Using “want to be” photos however are useful if simply provided to the surgeon as I will further explain in the below link:

Answer: Is 500cc too big for my frame. The size of the implant and type of implant depends on several factors. Young women who are 25 and under, often are disappointed several weeks after breast enhancement because they loved the breasts when they were swollen. When the normal post-op swelling subsides, they feel smaller. Women older than 25, sometimes don't want to be too big, because they feel fatter with a larger upper chest. It is a good idea to go on a web site of the manufacturer..ie. Love Your Look . com for Mentor and download pictures of women with the same weight and height, and the pre and post-op pictures you like and don't like so you and your surgeon can review them together. In women who aren't sure exactly, I steer them to saline high profile implants. They can have saline added 6 months later at a nominal fee, they are still considered safer, and cheaper.
