These types of screws do not usually present problems with security checks in airports, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

For the procedure you are discussing, the type of metal used in the implants is titanium. As such, the implants will not cause issue at security checkpoints. The radiographic scanners and metal detectors will not likely pick up the implants and you will be able to make it through security, pending you don't have any other metal in or on your body.

Titanium facial plates, wires, and screws should not affect airport scanners as they have a low iron content and are relatively small. Larger prostheses such as hips and knees may be detected. Just to be safe, ask your physician to provide you with written verification of the hardware placement to prevent unnecessary inconvenience.
