Left breast has felt heavier and lower since this has happened. Felt extrememly odd especially in swimming pool. Implants put in 9 years ago. Also had an inverted nipple that was addressed at the time. Could pocket have been altered by mammogram smash or something with nipple (something released?) Mammogram company looked and said "fine", one PS said looks "fine". Does not feel fine. Ideas?

Answer: Mammogram after breast augmentation Mammograms after breast augmentation are generally safe and easy to obtain. In general it is important to alert the mammography technician that you do have implants. They may have to do special views in order to complete the study. It is extremely unusual for complications to occur during the mammogram. However there have been reported cases in which implants have leaked or ruptured. Also there have been reported cases where the capsule surrounding the implant can break and cause malposition or change in the position of the implant. I always say, "listen to what the patient has to say". If you have noticed a change in your breast implants since the mammogram, chances are there really has been some change. An in person consultation with plastic surgeon who can examine you,may be able to help improve the situation.
