Is this bone bump something that can be rasped down? (Photo)

Question

I had rhinoplasty a year ago. I have a bump on my bone on one side that is visible. I can also feel a bump on the other side too but it is in a different location, making it not really visible or bothersome. The bump on the one side bothers me and creates weird light reflections and a shadow underneath it in certain lighting. I'm worried this is my actual bone and rasping will just do more damage. My doctor said rasping could leave me with a dent but is willing to do it. Is it a good idea?

Based on your photos, you appear to have thin nasal skin and an indentation along your lower right nasal sidewall. The indentation is the reason why the bump is more visible on your right three quarter view and right profile view. Depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections maybe considered to fill the sidewall indentation and to camouflage your small nasal bump.
If your surgeon is willing to do additional surgery, rasping of your bridge may be considered along with repeating osteotomies on both sides. If osteotomies are not performed, you're nasal appearance may widen. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photos you have a really visible bump in your dorsum also your nose seems very thick from the front profile. These things are related to the previous surgery. I recommend you revision rhinoplasty surgery for gain more beautiful, elegant and fit for your face size.
