Tip is red/purple in the slightest cold weather after revision rhinoplasty. Can I do anything to fix it? (Photo)

Hi there, I had a rhinoplasty 1 year ago and a tip revision 4 months ago. Cartilage was taken from the back of my ear to round out the tip as it was too pointed. I love my nose but when it's even the tiniest bit cold it goes bright red and turns into a circle on the end - I'm not sure what's causing this or if I need to be doing anything to fix it?

My experience is that at 7 months most of the swelling will have resolved and you should have a good idea about the general symmetry or lack thereof! I am not able to give you an exact answer without nasal photos and what the surgeons surgical plan is. I will say that 1 millimeter is almost nothing in terms of nasal tip support at the caudal septum. I would also add that removing 1 mm of cartilage will not correct a curved tip or caudal...

I would recommend a revision rhinoplasty with cadaveric fresh frozen cartilage. In addition, I would recommend placing some temporalis or posterior auricular fascia over the dorsum of the nose to help further camouflage the irregularities. This is a very complex issue that needs to be addressed...
