I’m exactly 6 months post OP and I feel like there’s too much nostril show from the front and side of my nose. The side is alright and I can tolerate it but the front is unattractive.
Answer: Rhinoplasty I have seen this so many times after rhinoplasty. It’s easy to correct easy to avoid. You have what’s called a hanging columella ( the part between the nostrils). This is because the cartilage under it, which is the lower edge of the septum, wasn’t shortened. Easy to fix. Cut back that cartilage a few millimeters and done., it is something I see in virtually every revision rhinoplasty, especially if done open. Can be fixed quite easily.

Answer: Would you consider a permanent non-surgical nose job? Based on your photos, you appear to have excessive nostril show that is somewhat asymmetrical. Depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections may be considered for nostril lowering and to improve nostril symmetry. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty surgery Hello! Thank you for your question. From the photos it looks like you have a hanging columella. Even if you still have swelling now, the front look won't change that much. Your nostrils will still show.If that disturbs you too much I can recommend you a revision rhinoplasty surgery to reshape the tip and columella.

Answer: Rhinoplasty It is common for the swelling to take several months to fully subside after rhinoplasty surgery. At 6 months post-op, there may still be some residual swelling that is causing the nostrils to appear more prominent. It is important to wait until the swelling has completely resolved before making any decisions about revision surgery. In the meantime, it may be helpful to talk to your surgeon about your concerns and have them examine your nose to determine if there are any underlying issues that need to be addressed. They may also be able to offer some suggestions on how to camouflage the nostril show, such as using makeup or wearing certain styles of glasses. Ultimately, if you are still unhappy with the appearance of your nose after the swelling has completely subsided, revision surgery may be an option. However, it is important to discuss the risks and benefits of this procedure with your surgeon before making any decisions. I hope this helps. Best of luck !
