Is it ok to have jaw fillers just weeks after a genioplasty?

Hi, To fix a recessed chin I’m soon having a genioplasty. I’d also like to use filler to add some more definition to my jaw angle. Can I have the filler soon after having the genioplasty? I’m aware there will be swelling with the genioplasty, so I’m wondering whether filler will interfere with that. But then again, the filler wouldn’t be in the same proximity as the genioplasty swelling I wouldn’t have thought. I’d just rather not wait half a year to get it done. Many thanks.

If your goal is a well contoured neck and jawline, then a platysmalplasty and chin implant will improve the contours and definition. Another option is a lower face and necklift and chin implant. Lack of chin definition and projection is exacerbating the condition.

I think the crux of your question is how much more projection do you need? If more than a couple millimeters, often the best way to widen is with an implant, especially if you already had genioplasty.
