After BBL/liposuction, swelling can settle in low areas such as the mons or labial region because gravity and temporary lymphatic disruption move fluid downward. That does not automatically mean fibrosis, but a persistent seroma, prolonged swelling, aggressive liposuction, or poorly controlled inflammation can sometimes heal with firmness or scar tissue. Compression in this area should be planned with your surgeon before surgery. A properly fitted faja or abdominal garment with smooth lipo foam, a mons pad, or carefully placed soft padding may help support the pubic area, but tight pressure directly on the vulva/vagina can cause pain, numbness, skin injury, or circulation problems. If swelling after surgery is rapidly increasing, one-sided, painful, red, draining, or associated with fever, contact your surgical team promptly.
