I had a face and neck lift 12 months ago. I originally only wanted a mini lift as I’m 42 (age 41 at the time) only really my jawline I wanted fixing. Although it looks worse now. I was told I would look better overall if I had a full face and neck lift. So I did. Anyway my scarring is visible and not behind my ears also, more sides of neck. Slack skin on jaw. Will it tighten as my before pics look better? Please help.

Answer: Facelift Tightness Hello! At 12 months, there can still be improvements and relaxation of the skin. If tightness is present, steroid injections and deep-tissue massaging can help. If there is still discomfort or signs of suture tracking, then a revision procedure may be indicated. I would try conservative routes before opting for any invasive procedure which could create worse scarring. Hope this is useful to you!

Answer: Loose skin after face and neck lift Thank-you for your query! One year after the procedure, things are unlikely to change. You will need a revision of the procedure, which may be minor, as we do not have a full picture, both to tighten the skin and place the scar behind the ear. Please discuss your concerns with your Plastic surgeon who can address this and your other concerns. All the best!
