Would having multiple dermis grafts increase the projection and volume of the lips?

Hello, hope you are well. This is a great question, thank you for posting. There are many ways to augment the upper and lower lips: dermal filler, implants, tissue grafting, etc. The options for tissue grafting are not limited to dermal grafts, and the best option is highly individualized. Though a dermal graft is relatively common because it is readily available when a lip lift is performed concurrently with augmentation, other options that I use routinely are fat grafting, SMAS, and temporalis fascia grafts. It really depends on the situation. It is best to aim for a satisfactory result with a single procedure rather than to expect multiple procedures. (But yes, additional augmentation is often possible even among those who have already had tissue grafting). Alternatively, a lip implant is a very nice option that comes in different sizes.
