Dent in cheek after deep plane face lift - is fat transfer the right solution? (Photos)
Hi, I’m just over 6 months post-op from a facelift and I’ve developed a noticeable indentation/dent on one side of my cheek, which appears more prominent when I smile. I’ve already spoken with my surgeon, who has suggested fat transfer as a possible correction, and I’m scheduled to return in a few months. However, I’m feeling quite anxious and would really appreciate some independent opinions. Is this type of indentation something that can still improve on its own over time, or is it more likely to require correction such as fat grafting? Also, what could be causing this kind of dent at this stage in recovery? For those experienced with fat transfer in this area, how predictable are the results, and are there risks of making the contour look uneven or overfilled? Thank you very much for any guidance — it would really help put my mind at ease.
