Chin implant, thumb like indentation on one side. What could this be? (Photo)

Question

Chin Implant fitted six months ago. Since inception there is a Thumb like indentation on one side. Have not seen my Surgeon for follow-up but Will be in time. Any ideas on the cause and/or the potential complication it could possibly be please? Many thanks in advance. Thank you Karim

Sometimes the implant can migrate if they are not held in position with bone screws. I would recommend a CT to evaluate the chin implant position.

To make a quality assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgical procedure, we need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures
If you don’t have before and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took.
My best guess is that the area of concern Represents the transition between the augmented and non-augmented areas.
Perhaps an implant that had more lateral extension could have improved the outcome.
Without more information, it’s difficult to make a quality assessment.
