Hi, im 38 years old with 2 chidren, youngest 14 month. Am i a good candidate for 360 thigh lipo? Thank you
Answer: Vaser Liposuction on Thighs Can Be Effective, But Caution Is Key Thank you for your question regarding Vaser liposuction on your thighs. Based on your description and photos, you appear to be a good candidate for 360-degree Vaser liposuction on the thighs. However, I recommend ensuring that your chosen plastic surgeon is not too aggressive with the procedure. Overly aggressive liposuction, especially in the thighs, can lead to uneven results like dents, lumps, or irregularities. It’s important to work with an experienced surgeon who understands the balance between achieving the desired slimming effect and maintaining smooth contours. I would also advise discussing your goals in detail with your surgeon to ensure realistic expectations for the final outcome. Good luck with your journey! Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: 360 Vaser lipo on thighs? bespoke treatment for slim your thighs and tighten and smooth your skin. Thanks for the question and pictures. In my opinion, you may not be a good candidate for 360 thigh liposuction as I don't see significant localized fat deposits. However, you could potentially be suitable for mild Vaser liposuction on the inner thighs in combination with treatments like Renunion or Bodytite for the for the entire thighs. Additionally, non-surgical treatments for skin tightening and smoothing, such as devices that utilize RF, ultrasound energy, shock-wave therapy, and massages, along with a healthy diet and lifestyle, as well as skin collagen boosters, could be added. The combination of these interventions can help slim your thighs and tighten and smooth your skin. I advice to make an appointment with surgeon expert in body contouring and skin tightening procedures for a medical/surgical assessment, discuss several options and make a bespoke treatment plan. Thanks Dr Giuseppe Fiore

Answer: Thigh lipo is tricky Based on your photos I wouldn't recommend thigh lipo either. I think there's a fair chance your thighs will look worse after lipo. Perhaps consider RF microneedling to tighten up the skin somewhat.

Answer: Lower extremity liposuction Your thighs look fine and I don’t see an indication for Liposuction. Lower extremity liposuction is technically very difficult and when things don’t go right patients are left disfigured and correcting the outcome is virtually impossible. We always assess each part of the body in context and relationship to adjacent areas. This means that when we make an assessment for the lower extremities we do it in comparison to your torso. What your torso looks like has a major impact on what your thighs look like. The goal of body contouring is to create bodies that are balanced and harmonious. Without seeing the torso we can’t really assess your thighs. If someone has good looking thighs than the chance of them looking better from Liposuction it’s not that great unless you are in the hands of one of the most talented providers when it comes to lower extremity liposuction. It’s a difficult procedure that most plastic surgeons don’t do a good job with. What are you trying to achieve? Which part of the flight are you trying to change and what do you not like? Liposuction of the thigh will never improve the skin but can make it worse. You’re not a bad candidate for Liposuction in any way but I don’t see the need and I seen too many people with serious regrets because they didn’t choose a sufficiently experienced and talented provider wishing they had never even considered liposuction. If Liposuction is really important to you then at least make sure you find someone who has the skill and experience to do the job correctly. One issue with doing lower extremity liposuction is that it’s not an easy procedure to do with patients laying on their back or face down. The only area that can easily be treated with patients laying on their back as the front of the thigh. The inner thigh and outer thigh change their contour radically when people lay on their back. This is one of the reasons the procedure is so difficult to do correctly. surgeons will Liposuction what looks like the five area with a patient laying on their back. Later when they stand up there’s a big divot in the middle of the thigh. Lower extremity liposuction should be done with patients laying on their side. This is pretty unpopular when general anesthesia is used so it’s a procedure better done with patients awake using the local anesthesia with sedation. this is simply from a technical aspect doing body contouring. There’s lots of other good reasons to avoid general anesthesia and I do all of my liposuction with my patients awake and I have been for the last 12 years. Consult with plastic surgeons and during the consult ask each provider to open up their entire portfolio of before and after pictures of her lower extremity liposuction results. If they can’t show you at least 30 sets of before and after pictures of similar patients with quality outcomes then do not sign up with that surgeon. highly experienced surgeons will have many more before and after pictures and 30 some will have hundreds. Ask the surgeon to show you as many pictures as possible of patients with very similar body characteristics to your own. Being shown a handful of preselected pictures which most likely represent the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider. It doesn’t matter if they have done liposuction of other parts of the body. Doing abdominal liposuction doesn’t necessarily give you any skin advantage for doing lower extremity liposuction. each area is unique and requires it’s on skills and learning curves. Continue having consultations until you found someone with a proven track record who has at least in my opinion a minimum of 30 sets of before and after pictures with quality results. Looking very carefully at the pictures making sure there are no skin contour irregularities anywhere. review the pictures with your surgeon asking him or her to find out exactly what areas were treated, what areas were not treated and look carefully at the transition zone between treated and untreated areas. I am 59 years old, board-certified and plastic surgery and specialize exclusively in only liposuction and fat transfer. for the first 10 years of practice I did general plastic surgery but decided to start specializing exclusively in body contouring 12 years ago. I performed over 8000 liposuction procedures to date. If you came in for a consultation I would tell you don’t do it. I can do lower extremity liposuction without leaving contour irregularities on a consistent basis. I just don’t think the procedure is going to deliver much benefit for you even though I haven’t seen your thighs in context with your torso. my biggest concern is you’ll choose a provider that doesn’t know what they’re doing leaving you disfigured. Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is far more difficult than people believe and this includes most plastic surgeons. Good luck, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Candidacy for thigh liposuction? Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, I note fullness of medial and anterior thighs, with slight fullness of the lateral thighs associated a degree of skin laxity with a moderate amount of stretch marks. I also note a degree of flank fullness. Stretch marks indicate the presence of permanently damaged overstretched skin usually occurring during pregnancy or significant weight fluctuation where when pregnant or overweight, the skin's dermal elastic fibers rupture, resulting in the loss of elasticity (like an old rubber band) and the development of streaks on the skin surface. The skin will stretch over a greater surface area and will predispose to further sagging. Liposuction of the thighs may be considered. One should be conservative on the outer thighs as the skin is already demonstrating a degree of laxity. Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion. Best wishes...
