Hello, I have lost a total of 33kg (72lbs) in 2 years, I am 34 years old and 173cm (5'8) tall. I'm going to the gym almost on a daily basis doing intense weightlifting sessions followed by 20min cardio and I watch my diet, 2200-2300 calories with 1g/lbs of protein with maybe once a weak cheat meal, don't know if I have loose skin or if is more fat that I have to lose in my abdomnial region, flanks, hips, butt and inner thighs. Am I a good candidate for vaser?
Answer: Seeking perfection You have already achieved more in two years than the majority of men ten years younger than yourself. Six pack abs, "V" configuration of your back and generally excellent muscular definition, quite impressive. I understand that the small residual fat retention prevents you from "seeing" the awesome physique that you have achieved. Liposuction could remove the small bulge of the lower abdomen and help reduce your love handles, but I would suggest (perhaps as a means to avoid small scar, development of fibrosis, and downtime post op) that you research Emsculpt. This is a non-surgical option that not only reduces excess fat, but also tightens underlying muscles. Hope this is helpful.

Answer: Weight loss patients shouldn’t get liposuction Successful massive weight loss patient typically have skin laxity and subcutaneous fat is no longer an issue. For that reason Liposuction isn’t going to do anything and the only procedure that can help his skin tightening surgery. It makes no difference what brand equipment is being used. Love handle and lower abd Liposuction typically does not make much impact on the male torso and patience with significant skin laxity due to weight loss. Tell me a tech may be an option but it doesn’t look like your skin laxity is all that bad. For mild skin laxity we just don’t have good treatment. I do not believe any secondary treatment like Renuvion a.k.a. J plasma or bodytite are going to deliver the type of results you’re hoping for. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Candidacy for Vaser lipo? Hi and welcome to our forum! Congratulations on your weight loss! From your photos, I note a minimal amount of lax skin of the lower abdomen. I can visualize your abdominal musculature quite well, suggesting that there is relatively little fat present. From the posterior view, I note that your flanks are somewhat constricted by your undergarment, but there appears to be a minimal fat repository in this area. I can't comment on the thighs and buttocks as they are not well exposed, but from what is exposed, I do not see excess fat. The skin is elastic, but when overstretched when overweight, dermal elastic fibers rupture (like an old rubber band) and the ability of the skin to shrink becomes limited, which becomes evident after the excess weight is lost. Although I can't calculate your BMI (as we don't have information regarding your present weight), you appear to be in excellent shape. If you are concerned about the small amount of residual fat present, or if you are concerned about the minimal amount of lax abdominal skin, consider a liposuction of the flanks and a mini-tummy tuck. Seek a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion. Best wishes...
