Hi doc I had a calf implants surgery, under the calf fascia 3 weeks ago ( eurosilicone 90ml, calf length 13cm, height 169cm). Unfortunately they stick out so badly, looks very unnatural. I’m lost as to what to do with this.. My surgeon is experienced, but not sure if these were placed correctly. What are my options? To go for smaller implants I need 2 more surgeries ( one to take them out and wait untill the pocket is fully recovered, another to put in new ones)? Fat grafting not an option.TX!

The insoles will not have any negative effect on the result of your surgery. You will be able to wear them. I recommend to talk to your plastic surgeon about all your concerns and the postop care so you have the best result . Hope this help
The definitive procedure for gastrocnemius muscle enlargement in club foot is calf implants. The combination of an inner and outer calf implant for each muscle head will go a long way in getting calf sizes that are a lot closer in size than they are now.
Dear NikkiClarke123,
it is unlikely that your insurance will cover the costs of calf implants. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
