One of my biggest insecurities has always been my nose drooping when i smile and has made me dislike my side profile. Would botox help with fixing this? Would it change my smile? If it would help, how much filler would be necessary? Thank you!

Answer: Botox can help HI there! Thank you for your question. While not super common, Botox can definitely be used to "lift" the nasal tip, particularly when smiling. This is done by injecting 2-3 units at the base of the nose. Again, it's not the most commonly requested procedure however, patients that do request it are pleased with the minimal but effective result. Good luck! Ivette M. Ballara, RN, BSN

Answer: Botox droopy nose Great question. Your nose does seem to pull down a smidge when you smile. A few units of Botox in the depressor nasi septi which is a the small muscle in the midline under the nostrils which is responsible for this downward trajectory, would be expected to help modify this. A small volume of dermal filler in the same area would also help provide support from underneath. These are advanced injections - see a board certified dermatologist for your care.
